SCWBEC Board members are volunteers. We are a working board, focused on the best interests of the organization. The board is comprised of the Executive Board, which provides leadership, and the Committee Chairs, who work in specific areas to accomplish goals set forth for the organization.

Katherine Cortavarria
Katherine Cortavarria is a purpose-driven leader with a heart for service, known for her commitment to excellence and her dedication to supporting her community. From a young age, Katherine has embraced challenges and pursued her passions with energy and determination.
Nemahun Vincent
Nemahun Vincent is a dedicated entrepreneur and founder of tea+munchies, a Long Island-based woman- and minority-owned business. Collaborating with co-owners Nyandai Vincent and H-Soba Vincent, the tea+munchies mission is to provide handcrafted, small-batch loose-leaf tea blends.
Christina Nicolia
After graduating with her Masters in Accounting in 2016 from St. John's University, Christina continued to work at The B&G Group where she later became the controller in 2019. She brings deep financial leadership experience to SCWBEC's board.
Gina Hill Slater Parker
Gina Hill Slater Parker is President & CEO of Long Island Development Corporation (LIDC), the region's leading business development finance agency. Established in 1980, LIDC celebrates over four decades of service and economic contribution to Long Island.

Sara Miller
Sara Miller is an award-winning professional photographer and owner of Sara Miller Photo Studio in Smithtown, NY. Although her business was started in 2021, she has been working as a professional photographer with various studios on Long Island for years.
Kenia Osorio-Wellington
Kenia Osorio-Wellington is Owner and President of Kear Solutions, Inc., a certified minority- and woman-owned and leading provider of Janitorial and Residential Cleaning Services in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
Betsy Maniotis
Betsy is the president of Betsy's Baskets — specializing in custom gift baskets, bears, favors, florals, and home decor items for both corporate and personal use. Betsy's Baskets was honored in 2013 to be placed in LinkedIn's Top businesses.
